Autumn Jubilee Stamping Fun from From My Carolina Home

Stamping is such fun, and a nice creative break from sewing. I like both endeavors, and mixing it up keeps my creativity flowing. Fall is the best time for stamping, making cards and Halloween treats, working with gorgeous papers and fun images.

I like using ribbons on paper for an extra bit of texture. I’ll start with gluing it to the backside, then fold it over the front. I only do about an inch on each end on the backside of the paper strip. Turned to the front, the ribbon and paper piece is glued to the cardstock on ...

Autumn Jubilee Cardmaking Fun from From My Carolina Home

I like making cards for friends and family and Autumn is the best time to send some cheer. It is no secret that my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving with the parade, a special breakfast, calling friends and family for cheerful wishes, the aroma of baking turkey and dressing, and a full day of football along with the anticipation of the holiday season beginning. Naturally, I have been sending Thanksgiving cards for years. It is fun to send a few just to say happy fall too. I begin with pulling out my tub of Autumn related stamps, some fall color papers ...

Stamping Fun for Autumn Jubilee from From My Carolina Home

Autumn is my favorite time of year, and I like to send cards to celebrate the season.  I have sent Thanksgiving cards for years and they are always eagerly anticipated by my family who live out of state.  So let’s stamp some cards today for #AutumnJubilee2020!

Ever since I discovered Impression Obsession, I have loved the sentiments and motifs they offer.  I like that you have the option of how your stamps are mounted, so I can save money using my acrylic blocks, plus they take up less space than the wood mounts.  Wood mounts are still available for ...

Autumn Jubilee 2020 Begins!! from From My Carolina Home

Wow, it is the fifth year for Autumn Jubilee, and this is going to be the best yet! I never thought when I did this for the first time in 2016 that it would grow the way it has. But, I should have known that I am not the only one that loves Autumn!  Cooler temperatures, rich fall colors inside on quilts and tables, wearing favorite sweaters, and drives on the parkway to see the explosion of color in the trees are just a few of the delights of this season. This year, new vendors join favorite regular sponsors for ...

Stamping Cards with a Food Theme from From My Carolina Home

I am trying hard to watch all the videos I have on that soon-to-be-gone video streaming service (details below), and of course got inspired to make a few cards.  I wanted to use the embossing technique I had just viewed, especially since I haven’t done any embossing in quite a while.  The lessons dealt with coloring and stamping before and after embossing.

The theme at Impression Obsession was Play With Your Food so I used a couple of those sets that were perfect.  First, I used one with citrus fruit and the sentiment “Squeeze the Day”.  The set is ...

Making small gifts for Safelight this month along with stamping a couple of cards for very special friends kept me busy at the stamping bench. If you are not a stamper, please read on for an update on this year’s Safelight Project.   Isn’t this stamp adorable?  It is called Darby Love, and is also available from Impression Obsession without the heart, called Darby (affiliate links).

One of the things I really enjoy is making and sending cards for the Autumn season, and particularly Thanksgiving.  Friends and family love getting them.  With a love of pumpkins and all things Autumn, this is a great time to stamp and play with paper.  I have a couple of stamp sets that are perfect for Autumn cards, plus adding some stickers is a fun way to dress up and add marvelous detail to designs.
